A native Californian and resident of Laguna Beach, began her artistic career as a child with a paint set given to her by her favorite Uncle, a local Seal Beach artist. The desire to inspire others to see the world with the “eye of an artist”, lead her to a career teaching High School art for 27 years. Her post graduate studies include a Master’s Degree in 2005, and a certification from the Laguna Beach Design Institute. Gail has been a member of the Huntington Beach Art Association for the last four years and received recognition in local shows. She had a booth in the Laguna Beach Winter Sawdust Festival. Her work has been entered in Small Art for City Hall contest, and was nominated for Best of Show; two pieces are currently on display. The Center on the Center exhibits feature her large shell paintings. In addition, the Huntington Beach Library summer Art League exhibit included her work as part of their collection. The shell collection was part of the Newport Beach 2014 exhibit, and the Huntington Beach Music, Art and Food Festival 2014. Art is everywhere...with each ocean wave a shell washes ashore, with each sunset a boat casts a reflection on the water, with each ray of sun a cottage weathers; now is the time for pause. I create the art of the beach to capture the essence of the pause for reflection on the glory of nature's touch.
